Full Office Refit for Boluda Towage

Boluda Towage

Client: Boluda Towage

The client

Boluda Towage is one of the largest harbour and marine towage operators in the UK, running a fleet of around 34 tugs across ports including Hull, Immingham, Liverpool, Southampton, and the River Thames. They are part of the wider Boluda Corporacion Maritima group.

The brief

Boluda Towage wanted a full refit of their office building. The space needed updating to suit how the team works now, with a mix of open-plan working areas, private offices, meeting rooms, and proper staff breakout spaces. The brief covered everything from structural alterations and M&E services through to the finishes, furniture, and decoration.

Our approach

We removed internal walls to open up the space and installed structural steels to allow for an open floor plan. From there, the full electrical and data infrastructure was reconfigured and new LED panel lighting went in across every floor.

The bathrooms and toilets were fully reconfigured to be DDA compliant, and the staircase between floors was remodelled at the same time.

We used frameless glass screens to separate private offices and meeting rooms from the open-plan areas. You get the division you need without losing any of the light.

Kitchen and coffee points were fitted on each floor. The main one has full cabinetry, worktops, and a high standing table that doubles as a casual meeting spot.

Carpet tiles went down in the working areas, vinyl plank in the kitchens and walkways. New suspended ceilings were fitted overhead, and the entire building received a full decoration.

We also supplied and installed all the office furniture, including desks with privacy screens, task chairs, pedestals, and the standing height tables in the breakout areas.

What we delivered

The result

The finished office is a clean, well-lit workspace with a consistent material palette running through every room. Light timber desks and worktops sit alongside grey fabric privacy screens and dark carpet tiles, with wood-effect feature panels on accent walls in the private offices. The glass partitioning keeps the whole floor open and connected while still giving teams their own space. Each floor has a proper kitchen and breakout area so staff aren’t stuck at their desks all day.
